Last week, we completed and shipped the back-lit cross for the new Kissimmee hospital. Below are pictures of the final piece in our shop and the great care taken to safely transport it to Florida.
These parts are en route to Round Rock, Texas, where Matt and Ben will install this ceiling sculpture soon. Bon voyage!
In addition to providing a cross to the hospital in Kissimmee, we’re also providing birds that will be mounted to the wall of the hospital’s chapel. Here are a few of them, getting prepped organized for the client to install.
Here’s a fun project that will consume the next couple of months: It’s a set of four 50-foot tall mobiles that will hang in four stairwells of a Houston office building. The piece will include acrylic hexagon shapes of varying width and length. Stay tuned for progress pictures!
Way back before that global pandemic, we completed a ceiling sculpture for a new hospital in Kissimmee, Florida. We’re currently working additional sculptural elements for the hospital. Pictured below is the backside of an illuminated cross that will be displayed in the hospital’s chapel.
This is a departure from projects we typically do and we’ve enjoyed the challenge! Stay tuned for final pics.
The birds installation at the All Classical Radio offices is complete! Matt and Ben worked through two nights and part of a day to get the 110 colorful Vaux’s swifts suspended overhead. It’s always fulfilling to complete an installation, and it was extra fun to do another local project!
Shout out to Cole, our favorite person right now, for to his ability to string together shapes for hours on end without compliant. Thanks to him, the end is (finally!) in sight for the Jacksonville mobile fabrication.
Next week, we’re installing these birds into the new offices of All Classical Radio, which is just down the street from our shop space. The birds are an abstract version of the Vaux’s swift, a species of bird that roost our neighborhood each September during their fall migration. The birds incorporate the colors of All Classical’s logo, and the birds will span the office space’s ceiling. We’re thrilled to be doing such a fun project for a local organization!
Our contract prevents us from sharing too many details about this particular project, but let’s just say we’ll be up to our eyeballs in hexagons this winter. This project involves a handful of 50-foot-tall mobiles that will incorporate lots of hexagons. Check back for progress pics!
