We don’t often do small-scale mock-ups of our projects, but we definitely needed to for this casino ceiling sculpture. This mock-up helped us figure out how the material behaves and what sort of movement the client is looking for. Next, we’ll start build the full-scale piece in our shop.
Hervé Tullet Ekko Workshop Collab at MoMA Design Store
Awhile back, we mentioned our new Hoops Mobile, a collaborative project with author/illustrator/artist Hervé Tullet. Here’s part of a shipment headed to be carried exclusively at the MoMA Design Store. Get your hands on one now!
Galaxy Feedback
Matt and Ben are still riding high (and utterly exhausted) from completing the Galaxy installation. And we have received the best feedback about it!
The art consultant (who forwarded these particular images of the piece) said, “These images circulated to a few people and all responded with such wonderful comments and feedback including [the CEO of Houston Methodist] with ‘stunning.’”
And Daniel Goldstein, the concept artist, said, “Oh Matt!!!! It looks amazing. I cannot thank you enough for your outstanding work. I hope you are happy with it. I know I am. I know how grueling those installations can be. Get some sleep. Thank you and your team for your phenomenal work.”
(We especially appreciate that Daniel understands how truly grueling installations can be!)

Why hello, 2022! We’re kicking off the new year with a trip to Houston to install this beast. Stay tuned for updates!
Casino Ceiling Sculpture Material
Here’s the metal mesh material we’re using for the casino ceiling sculpture. We’re devoting plenty of time learning how the material behaves so it cooperates with our grand plans!
The Woodlands Hospital Sculpture Materials
We’re finishing up the shapes and elements that will be part of the The Woodlands hospital ceiling sculpture. That massive hanging hook with all the cables coming off of it hints at the complexity of this piece. We’re so excited to see it come together!
Bon Voyage, Enormous Frames!
The ceiling sculpture installation at the hospital in The Woodlands, Texas isn’t scheduled until January, but to ensure the frames arrive on time, we’re freighting them now. (You never know what the weather will do this time of year!) The frames were safely packed up in a box large enough to freight a few grown men. Our fingers are crossed for an uneventful journey to Texas.
Metro Plaza Ceiling Sculptures
Here are various pictures of the three ceiling sculptures we installed in the Bay-area office facility. Matt and Ben spent a full four days installing these. It was a lot of work, but we’re happy with how lovely they turned out!
